Aren Platt | Director, Campaign Strategies

Aren Platt has worked with candidates at the federal, state and local levels as both a finance director and as a campaign manager. As a fundraising professional, Aren has raised more than forty million dollars for the candidates he has served. He has delivered to campaigns a comprehensive understanding of the critical intersection of fund-raising and politics and a keen sense of what it takes to win elections.

In 2006, Aren raised over thirty-two million dollars from a state-wide and national donor base as part of Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell's re-election campaign finance team. He then went on to develop and implement a sixteen-month finance plan for the 2008 re-election of Congressman Chris Carney (PA-10), raising more than $2.3 million for the freshman Congressman’s re-election effort. In this role, Aren established a long-term donor and political base in this district that had never supported a Democratic Member of Congress for re-election prior to Congressman Carney's 2008 victory.

Most recently Aren managed Judge Jack Panella's state-wide race for Pennsylvania Supreme Court. As campaign manager, Aren created and implemented the finance plan to raise more than $2.6 million. He coordinated political and donor groups from across Pennsylvania including organized labor, state and county political organizations, campaign donors, and issue-oriented groups. He also managed press calls and campaign communications.

Prior to his career in politics, Aren worked in marketing, providing him with a unique perspective on candidate communications. During this time, he helped craft the messaging for a wide variety of clients in the for-profit and non-profit sectors including the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Haverford College and Philadelphia's Center City District.

Aren currently lives with his wife Monica and their two aging cats in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.
